Postgraduate Study Opportunities

Subjects:

The University of Dundee's origins date back to 1881, when it was founded as University College, Dundee. Today, we are one of the UK’s top 30 universities in the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 and The Guardian University Guide 2019. We have 17,000 students from over 140 countries who rate us highly – overall satisfaction was over 93% in the recent International Student Barometer survey (Autumn 2017), the 3rd highest score of the 31 UK universities that took part.

Why Dundee for postgraduate study

With over 200 taught postgraduate courses to choose from, you’re sure to find something to set you on the right path. You will benefit from studying at a university with high rates of graduate employment. In fact, 96.4% of Dundee graduates were in work or further study six months after graduation (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, July 2018). We also offer a number of fantastic opportunities for you to join the University of Dundee as a research student.

Our research is highly rated by the most recent Research Excellence Framework (2014), which assesses the quality and impact of research submitted by universities across the UK. Dundee was rated the top UK university for biological sciences, and achieved excellent results across the STEM subjects - science, technology, engineering & mathematics - where the University’s quality profile was the highest in Scotland. Furthermore, 76% of the University’s research is achieving 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent' standards.

Accommodation

Whilst you study with us, our accommodation is a home from home. We have campus accommodation specifically for postgraduate students so you're never more than a few minutes from the library or any of our campus facilities. Alternatively, if you want to stay off campus, our students’ union can provide you with assistance.

Our scholarships

We want to continue to welcome international students to Dundee, however we understand that studying can be a financial commitment. We offer exceptional students £5,000 Global Excellence Scholarships to help you achieve your ambitions. If you are eligible for the award, the amount will be deducted from your tuition fees.

With high-quality postgraduate courses, world-leading research, and a compact, friendly campus in the heart of the city, it's no wonder the University of Dundee is attracting first-class students from across the globe. With our prestigious reputation and student-first approach, you can be sure you’re making a great choice for your future career.

The City of Dundee

Dundee is ideally situated on the east coast of Scotland. Our university has the perfect blend of state of the art facilities and beautiful architecture. What's more, you're never far from a historic building or stunning scenery. We're Scotland's fourth largest city with a population of around 150,000 and our city is famously friendly and open. We also have more hours of sunshine, the purest air and more green spaces than any other city in Scotland - the perfect place to study.

Whatever your needs, Dundee has it all. So much so that we were named "Scotland's coolest city" by The Wall Street Journal, and a top destination to visit by Lonely Planet (2018).
